10 Day Peloponnese Adventure
*Flight to Athens, Greece is not included*
Day 1 Athens - Nafplion - Tolo - Ancient Asini(194 Km) Pick up the Bike. Travel down to Nafplion via the coastal route after Korinth. Check in at your hotel in Tolo. Do some sightseeing. See the Palamidi Castle in Nafplion (Venetian).
Day 2 Ancient Epidavro - Galatas/Poros - Kranidi - Iria - Tolo(196Km) Visit Ancient Theater in Epidavro ride through the mountains to Galatas, cross over into Poros for lunch (breathtaking). After, follow the coast through Kranidi and over the mountains to Iria and back again to Tolo.
Day 3 Mycenae - Corinth Canal - Loutraki - Epidavro -Ligourgio(191Km) Ride out to Mycenae(Tomb of Agamemnon Relive the Trojan war) visit the Corinth Canal (Isthmus) And go into Loutraki up the mountain to an Ancient Monastary. Then through the coastal road back to Tolo.
Day 4 Nemea - Stimfalia - Helmos (125 Km) Explore the wine Region and norther mountains of the Peloponnese. Spectacular views and divine flavors.
Day 5 Rest Day - Cruise to Hydra/Spetses Relaxing cruise, take in the sights and shops of the islands (great prices on Gold and jewelry)
Day 6 Astros - Leonidio - Kosmas - Monemvasia(192 Km) Head south down the coast through Astros, Leonidio. Over the mountain pass to Kosmas and wind your way down to Monemvasia.Spend the night inside the castle.
Day 7 Dirou Caves - The Mani -Paliros - Gythio(195Km) Leave Monemvasia head to Gythio (short ride) check in to your hotel and then explore The Mani Peninsula. Visit the Dirou Caves and ride to the most southern tip of the Peloponnese.(Caution, tricky roads ahead but well worth it).
Day 8 Sparti - Megalopoli - Dimitsana - Vitina -Lagadia(210-300 Km) Ride up to the center of the Peloponnese passing Sparta and going up into the forested region of Dimitsana,Vitina and Lagadia. Spend the night in a quaint country style room. (reminds me of a miniature Alps. You will be amazed at the diversity in terrain)++Those who choose can continue to Olympia. Birthplace to The Olympic Games++
Day 9 Ride to Athens via Kalavrita(287 km) Ride to Kalavrita one of the most breathtaking places in all of Greece. Also a place of great tragedy.
Day 10 Flight Home Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. See you on the next Tour. How about a trip through Northern Greece?
